Oh! How Pinteresting!

I've not been living up to my promise about posting more frequently. I sincerely apologize! I really do have good reason, and I have to give another warning- this will be my last post for a few days. I'm having a few medical procedures done that will make me M.I.A. Wednesday-Friday. I'm hopeful to be able to participate in High Five for Friday. I promise to try! It all depends on how my recovery goes on Thursday. Also, these aren't major procedures that I'm having, so don't worry about me... doctors are just trying to figure out what's going on with me! (Maybe I'll be able to have milk again!? Cross your fingers for me!)
Now to the good stuff... Linking up with The Vintage Apple to show off my favorite pins!

High Five Friday!

Yay for Friday! I can't tell you how much I love the fact that it's Friday. This has been the strangest week for me personally so I'm happy to see it go! Here are the positives... Linking up with Lauren at From My Grey Desk for my five favorite things!

:::one:::
I tried a new hair-do on Monday for my Stella and Dot Party! I loved the way it turned out!

:::two:::
I spent some time with my favorite little man, and I may have pulled his socks all the way up with his "old man shoes" purposely for my own enjoyment. I just can't get enough of toddlers looking like old men! I'm sure he didn't mind... we played outside for a while afterward so I redeemed myself. ;)

:::three:::
Unexpected flowers from a friend that really brightened my day. Thank you again lady!

:::four:::
Lola discovered the windows at her new house. It was fantastic to watch her watch the "happenings" of the neighborhood.

:::five:::
I found this funny picture of me as a nugget. Look at that face!.. some things just don't change!

Have a wonderful weekend!

weekend pic... still trying to keep up

I haven't been good about blogging, I know. I'm working on it I swear. In the mean time, I will try to post mini posts to keep things interesting! Today for example, here is my outfit from my guy's family fathers' day bbq. It was a lot of fun, and I'm a little in love with my orange pants. We came home 5 hours later to my guy's bathroom flooded all the way through to the hallway carpet. It was an interesting end to the day/weekend to say the least.
I am almost looking forward to Monday if you can believe it!
I hope everyone had a great weekend and Fathers' Day!

High Five Friday

So. Glad. It's. Friday. It's been quite a week. Linking up with Lauren from From My Grey Desk to recap the week.

:::one:::
It's Friday. That's a highlight for sure. Enough said.

::two:::
My new chair. I got it as a floor sample for $200. Originally $799. Success. Oh, and it's more comfortable than it looks and had almost nothing wrong with it!

:::three:::
New sandals from target for $15. Super comfy and a total knock-off of a pair I've wanted from Nordstrom since January. They originals were $70 and obviously out of my budget. These lovelies however, were right in my budget. Thanks Target. (I need a pedicure!)

 :::four:::
Another target knock-off deal- metallic boat shoes. I'm in love, and again, they are so comfortable!

:::five:::
This dining room table. My guy bought it for us, again a floor sample, for $200 originally $999. It's SO beautiful. It's being stored at my mom's garage until we have a place for it. I can't wait until I get to live in the same space as it. Did I mention I love it and it's beautiful? Because it's beautiful and I love it. :)

Happy weekend!

Next is Cyrille:

I’m Cyrille Jan and I blog over at JanMLoves. I blog about things I love – shopping, dresses, accessories, shoes (that I usually can’t wear because I’m too tall to feel normal in heels), beauty products (that I discover in Target) and of course, my family and my love.

Last, but definitely not least is Britta:

My name is Britta and I blog over at the boots parade! I started this blog at the end of last year, a few months after I had made a really big move to... Costa Rica! In July of 2011 I moved from New Jersey to Costa Rica so that I could be with my boyfriend. After doing the long distance thing for a year and a half it was time to put a little less space between us. So I came to Costa Rica and started looking for a job! I got hired as a 7th and 8th grade English teacher at a private school here and I started at the beginning of 2012. It has been a whirlwind experience to say the least. My blog essentially reflects all of that ... and more! I write about my life here in Costa Rica with my boyfriend, my job as a teacher, and anything that comes in between. Feel free to stop by my blog if you like, I love meeting new people and hearing from other bloggers!

Enjoy and support these gals! :)

Totally M.I.A. and High Five (or 4) for Saturday?

I'm sorry I've been so spotty with my posting lately. Life has gotten crazy busy, I've been sick and dealing with doctors (and the lifestyle change of no milk and no soy, whaaaaaa!?) and haven't had a free moment to myself let alone to my blog. Sad face.

To make up for it, here are a few pretty pictures to look at. I'll do my best to keep up next week! Happy weekend everyone! I haven't forgotten about you! 9 more followers and it's giveaway time! ;)

:::one:::
I had a Stella&Dot party at my apartment and I bought peonies for the occasion. (see below) I got to use my guy's grandma's vintage white milk glass vase for the first time since she gave it to me. I'm so in love with it I can't even handle it! It makes me happy.

:::two:::
Gorgeous.

:::three:::
This came in the mail today... been on backorder for a while! It's even prettier in person!

:::four:::
I've been lacking in outfit posts, I know. Here is a quick shot of my most recent favorite outfit that I wore to my friend's bridal shower. Sorry for the terrible iphone photography and pasty white skin!

:::one:::
Something for me to ask myself more often.

Have a wonderful Wednesday.

June Sponsor Spotlight #1

Hi everyone! I apologize for being slightly m.i.a. recently on my blog. Things are crazy right now. I promise to be more present!

First things first, I want to introduce you to a few of my fabulous June Sponsors! Check these ladies out, follow their blogs, and tell them I sent you! Happy June!

First up is my "longtime blogging friend"Brielle!

Hi Styled With Life readers!! My name is Brielle and I blog over at Adventures of Law School.  As you can tell by the name, I am going to law school (just finished my first year yay!) and share my stories, adventures, and document the things I love on my blog!  I started blogging about the same time Kara did and couldn't be more excited to have the chance to be sponsored on Styled with Life! :) I love making new blog friends, so come on over and holler at me!

Next Up is these 3 Lovely Ladies:

Hey Yall! We are Maylon, Hailey, and Shian from Southern Flair. We're three best friends living our lives to the fullest in the sunny South. We are sophmores in high school (in 3 days, juniors!) and we are pretty new to the blogging world. Over at Southern Flair we blog about our shared love for fitness, fashion, and most importantly our Faith. We hope you will stop by and check us out. We love to hear from yall :)

And now for the fantastic Elizabeth:

Hey everyone! My name is Elizabeth and I’m a 20-something recent college grad getting ready to start grad school. I love writing, trying new things and saving money (who doesn’t, right?) I’m obsessed with organizing, drinking coffee and listening to country music. I have a newfound love for the outdoors, old movies, crafting and cooking. I’m a yoga enthusiast and recently fell in love with Pilates!

About My Blog: After the summer of 2011 I found myself with an overwhelming number of credits to take my final year of college so I had to quit my job of 2+ years. Although I had spent my entire summer working and taking classes, I still found time to shop, vacation and spend way too much money. At the end of the summer I was hit with a wake up call -- despite all the hours I had put in at work, my bank account was devastatingly low. I realized I couldn't spend like I had been any longer.

Now I’m finding it more important than ever to save money. I thought that by starting my blog, I could share my tips and tricks I've developed and learned along the way to help others who were living on a budget, or just trying to save a buck or two here and there! I am by no means an expert (I'm in grad school studying Elementary Education), but I have developed and adapted a lot of tricks that work for me. Come visit me at
