I went to a conference this week, and this quote was talked about. I never thought about it before. It's my new favorite thing. So true! :)

Watched 2 amazing people get married. It was such a fun wedding, and we had wonderful time!

Took the time to paint my nails- it's the little things that can brighten a day/week!

High Five Friday!

Yay for Friday! I can't tell you how much I love the fact that it's Friday. This has been the strangest week for me personally so I'm happy to see it go! Here are the positives... Linking up with Lauren at From My Grey Desk for my five favorite things!

I tried a new hair-do on Monday for my Stella and Dot Party! I loved the way it turned out! 

:::two:::

I spent some time with my favorite little man, and I may have pulled his socks all the way up with his "old man shoes" purposely for my own enjoyment. I just can't get enough of toddlers looking like old men! I'm sure he didn't mind... we played outside for a while afterward so I redeemed myself. ;)

:::three:::

Unexpected flowers from a friend that really brightened my day. Thank you again lady!

:::four:::

Lola discovered the windows at her new house. It was fantastic to watch her watch the "happenings" of the neighborhood.

I found this funny picture of me as a nugget. Look at that face!.. some things just don't change!

High Five Friday

So. Glad. It's. Friday. It's been quite a week. Linking up with Lauren from From My Grey Desk to recap the week.

It's Friday. That's a highlight for sure. Enough said. 

::two:::

My new chair. I got it as a floor sample for $200. Originally $799. Success. Oh, and it's more comfortable than it looks and had almost nothing wrong with it!

:::three:::

New sandals from target for $15. Super comfy and a total knock-off of a pair I've wanted from Nordstrom since January. They originals were $70 and obviously out of my budget. These lovelies however, were right in my budget. Thanks Target. (I need a pedicure!)

 :::four:::

Another target knock-off deal- metallic boat shoes. I'm in love, and again, they are so comfortable!

:::five:::

This dining room table. My guy bought it for us, again a floor sample, for $200 originally $999. It's SO beautiful. It's being stored at my mom's garage until we have a place for it. I can't wait until I get to live in the same space as it. Did I mention I love it and it's beautiful? Because it's beautiful and I love it. :)

Totally M.I.A. and High Five (or 4) for Saturday?

I'm sorry I've been so spotty with my posting lately. Life has gotten crazy busy, I've been sick and dealing with doctors (and the lifestyle change of no milk and no soy, whaaaaaa!?) and haven't had a free moment to myself let alone to my blog. Sad face.

I had a Stella&Dot party at my apartment and I bought peonies for the occasion. (see below) I got to use my guy's grandma's vintage white milk glass vase for the first time since she gave it to me. I'm so in love with it I can't even handle it! It makes me happy.

I was super busy this week at work and getting prepped for my first trunk show as an Independent Stylist for Stella & Dot! It was SO much fun and such a wonderful experience! Definitely the highlight of my week...

Here are a few pics of my displays before everyone starting trying things on and I started styling them! It was a super fun evening and I am so grateful for the folks that came for my inaugural trunk show! I mean, could this jewelry be any more lovely! A gal's dream!

This little lady came to my trunk show with her mama. She was workin her striped dress and really perusing the lookbook. I think we have a future fashionista on our hands! Watch out Mom! :)

This is my amazing co-worker Amy, doing her best to keep things light during our lunch break. Success Amy, success. (Could those faux bells of ireland be ANY taller?! I mean really?!) This picture made my day.

I picked these up on a whim for my "dairy sensitive" I guess I would say, friend. They turned out to be the most delicious cinnamon treats. I will totally buy them again for myself. We called them the best tasting air ever...because really, what's in them!? :)

This was my relaxing moment from the week. Out on the porch, in the sun, glass of juice and a funny book. Perfection!

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! I've been a bit m.i.a. this week, and will this weekend too... I'm doing a photo shoot for my friend's new business and it's going to be so much fun! I can't wait! Have a wonderful holiday too!

We were awaiting my niece's arrival home, so our usual family coffee date turned into coffee with Auntie, 'Nan', 'Gran', and this big brother. He is suddenly such a little man! Note the "cookie" in one hand, 2 cars in the other, and juice safely within reach. Smart dude.

Got this text from a friend/coworker. Made my week. This is EXACTLY what I hope to be for people! Thank you for telling me girl! ;)

The birth of my niece Ellie yesterday, Thursday May 10. (which is why I didn't blog yesterday! I'll make up for it on Saturday!)

It's Friday! Yay! This has been a difficult week to say the least, but I am trying to stay positive! Here are my five favorite positive things from the week. Linking up with Lauren at From My Grey Desk.

Sunday stroll with boyfriend. Lovely day.

:::two:::

My mom gave me her old wedding band a while back to wear on my right hand, and on Thursday I decided to take it into the store that my parents originally purchased it from to get it cleaned. (They bought it 15+ years ago) and they remembered me/my fam and cleaned it for free. It's so sparkly now!

:::three:::

Had to say goodbye to my hand-painted ikat paint wall window installation, but got one more good pic of it. Bye friend.

:::four:::

Went to a super cool beer place for my "goodbye party" (this is my last week at the store location I've been working at for the last six months, and I'll be back to my original store on Monday, which includes a 2 hour commute! boo.) It was great food/drinks/company. Thanks to all that attended!

:::five:::

My supervisor and I wore very very similar outfits on our last day together, so obviously we had to take a picture! Accidentally matching outfits is one of my favorite things in life! ;)

So I had what one would call a "S***ter" of a week at work. AND blogger somehow deleted my original post for the day. I wrote it last night, scheduled it, and it posted without any content. So. Frustrating. So I'm trying again. Linking up with Lauren

Sunday was a wonderful day. (sorry no pics) Boyfriend and I spent the whole day together- went for a drive to see a farm that raises zebras and ostrich, but didn't get to see them! Then we stopped in at his Grandma's and ended up visiting with her for about 2 hours. Later we hung out and he cooked me dinner! It was perfect.

I found this necklace that I thought had been lost and gone forever! It was in my glove compartment!

Bought a new pair of running shoes with the intention to start working out regularly again. Don't adjust your screen, those are in fact neon melon Nikes!

Met with a friend for a glass of wine after work at an adorable wine bar called "residual sugar." It was a great way to end a Monday work day! And the wine was tasty!
